DameMusic is pleased to welcome Tokyo veteran  Ryogo Yamamori for the 33rd release of the label.  ‘Body Flow’ features two original pieces backed with remixes from Berlinbased duo Sierra Sam & Pascal Hetzel aka CYRK and label honcho  Bloody Mary.

With over 20 years experience,  Ryogo Yamamori is a staple of the Japanese techno scene.

Holding residencies at notable techno institutions  Air,  Module and  Yellow, curating his own 951beat imprint and contributing his unique take on 90s Detroit and Chicago techno for labels such as  Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings .

‘Spider’ opens the A side, a potent 909 sets the foundation as a sawtooth arpeggio is introduced, rising gradually before open hats help launch the track to it’s ultimate hypnotic, strobeinducing climax. ‘ S anya’ launches with similar aggression, rolling toms provide the thrust as a delightfully unsettling acid line develops into a crash heavy jack that is sure to move even the most stagnant of dance floors.

Turn to the flip as  Sierra Sam & Pascal Hetzel harness the hypnotic ‘ S pider’, dubbed out arpeggios float as heavy drums pound beneath, maintaining the direction firmly to the floor.

Bloody Mary takes a different approach to ‘ S anya’, lowering the tempo and intensity for an emotive, euphoric trip, sparse drums and dubbed claps propelling the melody to the forefront.

Ryogo Yamamori demonstrates his experience for this advanced take on the seminal sounds of early US techno, with  Sierra Sam & Pascal Hetzel and  Bloody Mary’s excellent interpretations rounding out the quality package.
